Events / CPE’s

Yes. If the desired billing address is indicated in the booking of an event, the desired invoicing is automated.

Certified Fraud Examiners are required to show 20 points of further education each year (“CPE” – Continuing Professional education), starting with the member year following receipt of the CFE title. Of these, 10 CPEs must have a direct link to the detection and deterrence of fraudulent actions and 2 CPE related to ethical issues. Furthermore, “Law”, “Accounting” and “Auditing” are accepted training areas.

CPEs are usually acquired by attending training courses and specialist conferences. A CPE represents 50 minutes of training.

Alternative approved training opportunities can be read at ACFE USA (more information here). This includes, among other things, the writing and publishing of technical articles or the creation and holding of lectures.

CFEs must confirm their CPE compliance with the ACFE USA by the end of their membership year (not calendar year!). The ACFE USA reserves samples.

Yes. For the proof of the CPE-credits, attendance confirmation of the respective organizers is sufficient, whether internal or external. Many of our members also attend in-house training courses. A reference to the topics of fraud, compliance, ethics, etc. must be given. The exact requirements can be found here.

Information needed on the training certificate:

  • Title of the event
  • Venue
  • Date of event
  • Subject of event
  • Duration of training minus breaks
  • Name of the Organizer

You can also read the exact requirements here on the page of the ACFE USA.

The CPE-Certificates issued by the ACFE Switzerland Chapter and the ACFE USA always contain all the necessary information.
